Boomer Hesley
I am from North Carolina originally. I'm currently in the Army and live in Alaska with my wife, Blair. I've been hunting waterfowl for a while and enjoy it far more than other types of hunting. I killed my first duck, a mallard drake, back in my teens and knew instantly that this was going to be a passion. Since then, I've hunted all over the country and the passion has only grown. I still enjoy hunting beaver swamps back home, but nothing compares to having the sun come up in the midwest and the sky is full of migrators. When I'm not hunting, or when the season isn't in, I'll usually be training dogs, practicing calling, scouting, etc. When I get out of the military, I plan on putting my waterfowling experience back into action. I'd like to start guiding again and eventually have my own guide service. I tell my wife almost every day, "The military is great, but the day is coming, soon, when I wake up and my job is duck hunting!" I'm also on the Ducklander Calls Crew and I'm excited about being a field staffer for Dakota Decoys.
