I was born and raised in Mankato, MN and I am 27 year old. I live here with my wife and my 1 year old son. Growing up near one of the largest designated sallow lakes (Swan Lake) and upper and lower middle lake, I was raised into a very strong hunting back ground. From going duck hunting with my BB gun to harvesting my first birds, it didn’t take me long to be hooked for life! For the past 7 years I have worked at Alumacraft Boat Co. and every year it seems like the time just crawls by waiting for opening day. In the fall I can be found chasing ducks and geese on the lakes and in the fields to hunting for pheasants in the tall grass and taking my annual trip up to Grand Rapids, MN every November to see my dad and to harvest a couple deer for the freezer! Come spring time I head to SD to try and do my part to save the tundra and then it’s back to MN for the turkey season. I think every hunter can agree that the time spent each year preparing for the upcoming season only makes it seem farther away. From pre season scouting to all the hours we as waterfowlers put in just for that one moment! There’s nothing like watching a big Canada or a fat greenhead coming in with its “gear” down to get the adrenaline flowing! I am very excited to be a part of Dakota Decoys and look forward to another great season!
