Growing up hunting on his relatives farms in Minnesota and Wisconsin, Danny’s passion for hunting started at an early age. His father would take him out every weekend for a morning duck and goose hunt, an afternoon of walking for grouse and pheasants followed by evenings spent deer hunting. It was these trips that sparked Danny’s desire to make hunting his life, but after his first year of college in Northwestern Minnesota he decided to make pursuing geese, both Canadas and Snows his top priority.
In college Danny managed to spend most everyday afield hunting, filming, taking pictures, and learning. In his first year of college Danny started working as Canada Goose Research Assistant and continued this throughout his entire college career, and graduated from the University of Minnesota with a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Ed. and Communication in 2008.
In the offseason Danny can be found at many hunting shows and events sharing his passion and knowledge to everyone he meets. Danny is a Mossy Oak Pro Staff Member and is proud to be with the Dakota Decoy family as well.
