I presently live in Denison Iowa {when I am not Duck or goose hunting}. Grew up in Clinton IA on the Mississippi sculling the main channel and calling in the backwaters. Learned calling from my Dad who learned from the Ducks. Began duck and goose hunting late in life; 12 years old , starting on my 61st year and still going strong. Have hunted over everything from black oil cans , wooden decoys , paper mache, and Styrofoam to present day plastics. I hunted over some of the very first home made Styrofoam decoys back in 1957. Made‘em with my hunting buddy.
As for today if there was a better made, better looking, more economical, decoy than “Dakota Decoy” I would use them.
Summer finds me fishin’ [looking for more duck spots on the marsh] while fall finds me bow hunting early-------till the waterfowl arrives.
