Thanks to my family, I was born into hunting. I spent my early years chasing ducks and deer near Corpus Christi, Texas. I slowly migrated north over the years attending Baylor University and now living in Dallas. When I’m not chasing birds or sitting in a bow blind I work as a petroleum geologist.
During the season I spend as much time as possible afield. The majority of my time is spent here in north Texas but I try and make a few trips every year to Arkansas and other nearby states. I also frequent south Texas to chase deer, quail, and coastal duck species.
I do my best to put many of my experiences in writing, and enjoy sharing my passion for the outdoors through photography and outdoor articles. Working and training retrievers is also a great interest of mine. Pecos, my lab, is always at my side in the field.
In the off season I spend my time fishing, attending outdoor shows, and calling contests.
