My name is Dwight McElroy. I was born and raised in the South Eastern part of Kansas where I still reside today. I was first introduced to waterfowl by a family friend when invited to go on a goose hunt. The moment I helped set up the decoys and started to see the birds come off the roost I knew this was going to be a long time passion. After that hunt I hunted off and on for a couple years. Then I decided it was time to get serious. Once I reached the age of sixteen I finally got my license and it was like I was let out of the gate and could chase waterfowl whenever I wanted. After that year I started to spend most of my time in the field with friends and family hunting a lot of waterfowl. The hunting I tend to enjoy most is chasing puddle ducks through public marshes to work those well educated ducks, and having to competition of other hunters around. But nothing can beat a nice flock of 25 to 30 honkers cupped and coming in on the landing strip.
During the off season I like to catch up on time missed with family and friends Also I like to make it to shows and do other outdoor events. I really like to play a lot of golf in the summer so you can find me out on the links playing in an occasional golf tournament with friends. If I'm not out there odds are you can catch me on the river bank with good friends trying to bring in a nice big flathead.
