I was born in Syracuse but grew up in Weedsport, New York. The outdoors has always been a big part of my life. My family owns J. LaFluer Logging and Forestry Products, LLC, which I am part owner of.
I got my first taste of hunting when I went with my father and grandfather when I was 12yrs old deer hunting. When I was 25 yrs old I had shot a 13 point Buck which scored 153 and 3/8 Boone and Crocket and I made the New York State Big Buck Club.
I went on my first water fowl hunt when I was 14 years old, my best friend and his father took me hunting in some flood timber and we shot our limit of mallards and wood ducks in no time. I have been hooked ever since.
When I graduated high school I went right to work for the family business as the sawmill operator. Now all I do is work and hunt, I love water fowl hunting it is a life style for me. I hunt ducks all around the Finger Lakes Region, Diver, Puddle Ducks, as well as Canadas and Snow Geese. .
