Matt Lane was first introduced to hunting at the age of 5 by his grandfather who took him squirrel hunting and taught him to love and respect the outdoors. It was 11 years later when his first duck hunt took place on Thanksgiving morning that changed the way he looked at hunting for the rest of his life.
Matt lives in Cadiz, Kentucky, a small town on the banks of Lake Barkley. Cadiz is in the western portion of the state which is an absolute mecca for wildlife enthusiasts. When he is not working at his “day job” as a lineman for the local electric company, then he is spending his time hunting deer, turkey, and waterfowl with his friends and family. He has a girlfriend of eight years, Amber, whom he will marry shortly after her completion of optometry school in a couple of years.
