My name is Mike Shearer I am 33 years old and I live in the Great State of Minnesota. I have a very beautiful and understanding wife named Toni and 3 kids. Nicholas (11) Abigail (6) and Joshua (2).
I have been hunting deer, waterfowl, and pheasants for about 15 years now. I have just recently started hunting “Thunder Chickens!” I was introduced to hunting when my family moved to Minnesota from Hawaii in 1993. I was an Army brat and have spent a lot of my life living in different parts of the world. Waterfowl hunting has become more of a passion to me than ever! I am always trying to spend as much time as I can scouting, and learning how the birds react during certain conditions. Then of course hunting them. I enjoy spending time in the field with my oldest son Nicholas who absolutely amazes me every time we go out hunting! I think what I like most is when he invites a friend to come along that has never hunted before, and listening to him teach his friend the way I taught him! In the “so-called” off season, I spend time coaching baseball, fishing and playing golf. I am proud to be a member of the Dakota Decoy Team and truly feel the products are the best I have ever used!
