Nick Taylor

I was raised on the Chesapeake Bay in Stevensville, MD where I watched waterfowl fly over the bay. I started handling guns with my parents at the age of 6. At age 10, I started waterfowl hunting with my Dad on the Eastern Shore. At age 12, I began calling. I moved to Virginia at the age of 15 and but I nev er strayed far from goose hunting. I still hunt today in Maryland and Virginia as well as Pennsylvania and West Virginia. The two things I enjoy the most are calling in the geese and hunting with friends. I enjoy calling so much that when I do hunt with friends, a rarely shoot; I leave that for the other hunters.

Just like sky divers jumping because of the adrenalin rush, or guys flying thru the air on motorcycles for the thrill…..I love the art of the call. I see the geese off in the distance. They are high and far off flying past us. I start to call. I think they are too far gone, then all of the sudden they turn back towards us. Now the adrenalin rush is in full speed. I keep calling, different pitches, different sounds, the thrill it is to see them come flying over and locking up and then yelling “TAKE EM”. When I see the hunters locking sites on the birds and them falling from the skies I think this is what I call a perfect day.

When hunting with friends using my Dakota Decoys, Get-em Locked up Goose Calls and Kicks Choke Tubes, I don’t know that things could get any better…other then longer hunting seasons.

During the off season, when I am not hunting I like to spend most of my free time practicing my calling, skeet shooting and training my best friend and hunting partner, Sugar.

Thank you friends and family for supporting my hunting. Thank you Bill of Dakota Decoy, Bill of Get-em Locked up Goose calls and the staff at Kicks Choke tubes for allowing me to pro staff for you.
