My name is Rick Jackson. I am a veterinarian specializing in equine sportsmedicine. I have a passion for the outdoors and training working retrievers. I grew up in central Indiana, where I started chasing quail and rabbits in grade school. In the ensuing years I met a few special people that were generous with their time, skills and knowledge, that nutured my growing obsession for the things we, as outdoorsman, hold dear. I now avidly pursue turkeys, deer, upland game and of course waterfowl. I also love to train and run my own dogs in retriever trials.
I hunt for the experience, shared and solitary. The sunrises and the sunsets. The artist's palette on the autumn wood. Time with dear friends and faithful dogs. The rawness of a December wind, the warmth of a cabin fire. The anticipation, the failure, and the success.
I reside in Northern Kentucky near banks of the Ohio River with my three Black Labs and two new puppies.
