Growing up on the bluff on the Big Muddy, in Horn Lake MS, hunting was passed down through many generations to Ryan. Deer Hunting has always been a treasure of his, but watching mallards drop from bluebird skies into flooded forest down south or giant Canada geese pilling into snow covered corn is his true passion. His father and grandfather taught him the skills and knowledge of the great adventure of being a sportsman. Now that he is grown, and out on his own, it has always been his dream to take what he has learned along his journey afield, and pass that on to the youth of our growing sport.
Hunting pressured birds year end and year out, he understands the importance realism plays each day. Being part of Dakota Decoys will place him with some of the greatest waterfowlers in today's industry, to work side by side striving to get decoys in the hands of X-Treme, demanding hunters.
Whether he's hailing migrators in rice fields, hiding deep in a layout blind awaiting honkers, or turning greenheads from the bottom of a cypress in the timber, you'll find him doing what he loves, and that's taking part in this great sport of "calling the shots". He is an avid member of The Soggy Bottom Boys Waterfowl Team, where he hunts with some of his best friends and co-workers. He is an active member of Foiles Migrators "Team Strait Meat" Field Staff, and Killn Crew Lanyards Prostaff. Ryan resides in Southaven,MS with his wife, Kayla.
