I was born in Ogden Utah and moved to Roy when I was three years old. Currently I am living in Hooper Utah just minutes away from Ogden Bay. I am currently working for the Utah Division of Wildlife Resources. My plans are to go to college and become a Conservation Officer or a full time guide. My father is the one that got me to love the outdoors and he always tells me he created a monster. We would go big game and go duck hunting together, but my love is waterfowl hunting. I live, eat, sleep and dream of hunting every minute I can. There are very few 19 year old kids that would work as hard as me at waterfowl hunting. I get up almost every morning that I can and walk for miles on end to find my hunting spots. My teachers would ask what I wanted to do for a living and my answer would be go duck hunting every day! I know my parents and my teachers would get mad at me for that answer. My friends started calling me Duck Killer because of all the ducks that I have shot over the years. It has stuck with me and a lot of people call me DK now. But it’s not all about shooting ducks, duck killer is just a nickname people call me. I just love to get out with good buddies and have fun and that’s what it’s all about.
Off Season: You can find me out scouting in the marsh or fields looking for new spots to hunt. You will also find me doing something to help the wildlife. I also do taxidermy on my birds that I harvest that year.
