Tim Hauck

I grew up in South Eastern South Dakota. Witnessing migrations every fall and spring helped me realize his passion for waterfowling. Growing up in a area flourishing with waterfowl opportunity I quickly became addicted and I've been chasing waterfowl since I can remember. I remember when i was about eight years old i would be late for school trying to get the ducks to respond to my mallard tone duck call my dad had given me. The feeling you get when the ducks would look down at you was unmatched. I was hooked. Since that time I have been lucky enough to have many opportunities to get out and hunt. I hunt probably 120 days out of the year and enjoy every minute off it! Whether it be decoying snows in the spring or chasin ducks on a slough it just doesn't get any better.

My biggest rush comes from calling birds. When they are coming in with their wings set and feet on the floor that’s what it's all about. A waterfowler must really appreciate the challenges this sport can throw at you. And, I truly do. Everything from decoy placement, to concealment to calling. Some days the birds will work sometimes they won't. That is why I think its great just to sit back and enjoy the show. When not laying in a field or slipping on a pair of waders. You can usually find me putting miles on my truck, finding birds, fishing, or at home with my family. I recent passion I found is contest calling. It’s a great filler between seasons and really helps you hone your skills for the field. ----Tim
